Wiktoria Markowska

Trainee Advocate

Second-year Trainee Advocate at the Warsaw Bar Association. In her daily practice, she supports the Firm’s clients in complex matters, focusing on broadly understood civil law and civil procedure. Working within the Firm’s Civil Law Department, she is involved in civil matters, including family and succession cases, as well as administrative and employment law matters. She has experience working with international clients. Her professional interests include compliance and alternative dispute resolution, with particular emphasis on arbitration and mediation.

  • Law degree, University of Warsaw (graduated with honours)
  • American Law Center (American law programme delivered jointly by Emory University, Georgia State University and the University of Warsaw)
  • Advocate training programme, Warsaw Bar Association (since 2025)

  • Advising and assisting foreign-language clients, including in succession matters
  • Handling employment law matters, including ongoing advisory work and drafting agreements (e.g. non-compete agreements)
  • Conducting real estate cases, including proceedings concerning co-ownership dissolution and acquisitive prescription
  • Handling family law matters concerning court authorisation for acts exceeding ordinary management of a child’s property
  • Advising in matters related to loans indexed or denominated in foreign currencies
  • Providing ongoing corporate support to companies, including analysis and review of internal regulations, policies and procedures

Professional and Academic Activities

  • Member of the University of Warsaw team in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (2023/2024)
  • Intern and co-mediator at the University of Warsaw Centre for Dispute and Conflict Resolution (2022/2023)
  • Conducted mediation workshops for Warsaw secondary school students as part of the Science Festival (2023)
  • Member of the French Law and Romance Legal Culture Society (2021–2024)
