- We design internal regulations tailored to the Client’s needs to ensure compliance of their operations with applicable laws and recognised standards, as well as to safeguard their business interests. We also carry out reviews and updates of existing compliance frameworks.
- Our work focuses on enhancing the legal security of business entities, particularly by managing risks related to potential criminal, civil and administrative liability. This includes developing and implementing corporate governance principles, whistleblower protection systems, dawn raid procedures, protocols for inspections by tax and regulatory authorities (e.g. the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection), anti-corruption and anti-discrimination policies, as well as AML and CFT procedures (anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism), KYC (Know Your Client) processes, supplier verification policies to prevent VAT carousel fraud, sanctions compliance, and employment law policies. We also assist in implementing ESG-related policies.
- We support the implementation of internal procedures through tailored training sessions and practical simulations.
- We conduct or assist in conducting internal investigations, providing support to in-house compliance officers and specialists.
- We advise on decision-making and the implementation of measures appropriate to the conclusions of internal investigations, particularly where such conclusions may affect the potential liability of management, including criminal or fiscal-criminal liability.
- We provide ongoing support in day-to-day operations, including dispute management and business decision-making, by assessing risks of legal liability (both civil and criminal). We participate in negotiations and prepare legal opinions on litigation strategies, specific legal issues, and the merits or potential consequences of filing a criminal complaint or initiating civil or administrative proceedings.
- We work closely with external experts across various disciplines to ensure a comprehensive assessment of the client’s situation—particularly in connection with the results of internal investigations—including specialists in public relations, capital markets, economics, tax, and data protection (GDPR).
